Ronald F. Paulette, 70, of New Bedford died July 8, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Mary J. (Fernandes) Paulette of Onset and the late Francis P. Paulette, he was raised in Onset and lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Survivors include his mother; his companion, Loretta Gant of New Bedford; his former wife, Adeline "Dolly" (Nunes) Paulette of East Wareham; a son, Robert Gomes of West Wareham; 4 daughters, Paula Paulette of Newport, RI, Kim Paulette, Lisa Soares and her husband Edmund and Patricia Paulette Withers and her husband James, all of New Bedford; his granddaughter, Shawnte Paulette, whom he raised; 4 step-children, Brenda Nunes, Raymond Gant, Aaron Gant and Michelle Gant; a brother, Pastor Edmund Paulette and his wife Lynn of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Theresa Freitag and her husband Albert of California, Louise Dixon and her husband Michael of Arizona and Janet Ramos and her husband Joseph of Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was the great-grandfather of the late Davonte Seales.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, July 13th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 12th from 5-9 PM.
