Roxanne Moniz, 39, of New Bedford passed away Wednesday March 3, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Roxanne was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 2000 and Southeastern Technical Institute, where she earned her L.P.N. in 2020. She had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Norton Nursing Group for 11 years.

A very selfless, kind, and caring person, she was a loving mother and daughter and the best sister ever!! She loved being with her family and friends, shopping with her girls, and going to the beach.

She is survived by her daughters, Zaryana Mendonca and Zavanah Mendonca; her companion of 17 years, Rafael Mendonca; her mother Donna (Mendez) Moniz; her father, Steven Moniz and his wife Liza; her brother, Nicholas Moniz; and her uncles, David Mendez, Dennis Mendez, and Donald Mendez, Jr.

She was the granddaughter of the late Donald and Marie Mendez and Dolores Moniz.
