Rufina A. (Andrade) Paris, 87, of New Bedford died May 2, 2015 peacefully at Sacred Heart Home.
She was the wife of the late Louis S. Paris.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Victorino and Ana R. (Santos) Andrade-Livramento, she lived in St. Vincent, Cape Verde as a child returning to New Bedford.
She enjoyed being with her children, their children and singing.
Survivors include 5 sons, Adrian Silva, Louis Paris, Jose Paris, Manuel Paris and Paul Paris; 6 daughters, Antonia Paris, Eileen Paris, Ana Lobo, Dale Paris, Ethel Paris and Carol Paris-Johnson; 3 brothers, John Andrade, Joseph Livramento and Joseph Andrade; a sister, Maria Silva; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Peter Paris and John Paris and sister of the late Anthony Andrade and Manuel Livramento.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, May 5th from 4-8 PM.
