Rummenigh S. Miranda passed away April 15, 2025 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was born on  May 18, 1993 in Cape Verde.

Rummenigh embraced the beauty of God's creation through his live for the outdoors. Fishing brought him peace and joy, offering quiet moments of reflection and connection with nature. At home, he found fulfillment in caring for his fish tank, tending to it with patience and devotion-- a small but meaningful expression of his appreciation for life's wonders.

Family was a central part of Rummenigh's life. He shared a close bond with his mother, father, and three sisters who stood by him with love and support. Their presence formed the heart of his earthly journey.

Though his time here was brief, Rummenigh's spirit touched those around him. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him and shared in his quiet joys.

May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by God's everlasting light.

Survivors include his parents, Jose J. Miranda and Clara (dos Santos) Martins; his daughters Haylee Miranda and Hazel Souza; his siblings, Laurete Gomes, Nina Gomes, Melissa Gomes and her husband Olavo, and Rassa Miranda; his stepbrother Gerson Martin; his stepfather Romeo Martins; his nephews Nicholas and Liam; and his niece Kaia.

His visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. A service will be held in the Funeral Home at 7:30 PM.
