Ruth V. J. Holmen, 73, of New Bedford passed away Thursday August 2, 2018 at Sacred Heart Home after a brief illness.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Otto and Ruth H. (Nystrom) Holmen, she lived in Fairhaven and New Bedford for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Victor O. Holmen of New Bedford.
A graveside service will be held on Monday August 6, 2018 at 1 PM at Rural Cemetery in New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
