Ruth E. (Wilcox) Marshall, 68, of New Bedford died Wednesday February 12, 2003 at home. She was the wife of Paul Marshall.

Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth (Mayes) Wilcox, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters, Frances Fortes and Roxanne Goncalves, both of New Bedford, and Jo-Ann Brunette of Parker, Colorado; a brother, Charles Wilcox of New Bedford; a sister, Helena Demoranville of New Bedford; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was the grandmother of the late Avelino Fortes, and sister of the late David Wilcox, Shirley Wilcox, and William Wilcox.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Sunday February 16, 2003 at 3 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Lung Association, One Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.
