Ruth A. (Mello) Richards, 88, of Fairhaven died January 1, 2019 at home after a long illness.
Born in Taunton, daughter of the late Noah and Eva (Simons) Mello, she lived in Dartmouth, Acushnet and Fairhaven.
She was formerly employed as a real estate agent for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Richards was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her 2 daughters; a sister; her companion; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 7th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday, January 6th from 2-5 PM.
