Sandra E. Andrade, 63, of New Bedford died November 2, 2008 at home after a brief illness surrounded by her family.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of Margaret M. (Gomes) Lopes of New Bedford, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Sandra enjoyed her work as a receptionist at Babbitt Steam Specialty Company.
Survivors include her beloved mother; her beloved son, Rodney Johnson and his girlfriend Michele Silva of New Bedford; 3 beloved daughters, Melissa Ann Johnson and Melodie Marie Johnson, both of New Bedford and Melanie Ann Royal and her husband Curtis of Portsmouth, RI; 3 grandchildren, Monica, Austin and Darian; 4 sisters.
Funearl from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Friday November 7th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, November 6th from 4-8 PM.
