Sandra Mulroy

Sandra (Midttun) Mulroy, 64, of Wrenthem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Harald and Joyce (Land) Midttun, she lived on the Southcoast most of her life.

Sandy enjoyed golfing, socializing with her friends, traveling and kayaking. She was an avid sports fan. Sandy was always upbeat and will be remembered as a generous person.

She worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for over 20 years.

Survivors include her companion, James Vanasse; her children, Rachel Mulroy, Jacob Mulroy and his partner Meagan Lawrence and Brendan Mulroy, all of New Bedford; her sister, Karen Midttun; her grandchildren, Zoe and Mia Charbonneau and Eben Mulroy; her niece, Virginia Rego and her children, Kali Soares and Kyrie Silva; and her nephew, Donovin Tavares.

She is predeceased by her parents, and her nephew Joseph Rego.

Her visiting hours will be held Tuesday, June 30th from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 1st at 10 AM in Oak Grove Cemetery, 185 Parker St., New Bedford.
