Sandra Sawicki, 52, of New Bedford died Wednesday February 4, 2009 at home.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Adolph E. and Theresa B. (Tatro) Sawicki, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

Ms. Sawicki was employed as a licensed optician for Lenscrafters in Brockton.

She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Fisher Junior College. She loved working out at the gym and walking the family dog, Duke.

She is survived by her fiancé, William Peloquin of New Bedford, and her son, Jarred Cordeiro of New Bedford.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM at St. Mary's Church, Tarkiln Hill Rd. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 6-9 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
