Sarah M. (Buron) Ponti, 88, of Mattapoisett died March 27, 2008 at Sippican Healthcare Center after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Ponti.
Born and raised in Bridgewater, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Alice (Forcier) Buron, she moved to Mattapoisett in 1954. That year, she and her late husband renovated the Nest Restaurant and ran it successfully for 20 years.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynette Alves, and her husband Edward F. Alves, Sr., of Mattapoisett; a sister Rita Reservick of Plymouth; a granddaughter, Lori-Ann Mello and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the Henry Buron and Louis Buron.
Her Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd at 11 AM in Cushing Cemetery.
