IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sheryl R.
Gagne
October 4, 1961 – December 1, 2024
In honor of the life and memory of Sheryl Rose Gagne of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Sheryl was born October 4, 1961 and died on December 1, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brave battle with cancer.
Sheryl had many passions. She loved to cook and was happiest when cooking for family and friends. One of her greatest highlights was having pajama party sleepovers with her grandchildren and making them their special treats. She enjoyed singing and jamming to old school music, Carole King, Janis Joplin, R&B, she loved it all. Sheryl enjoyed watching true crime shows and she was a huge sports fan; she cheered for all the home teams. Sheryl was outgoing and adventurous. She loved to travel to visit friends and family and she made friends everywhere she went.
All that said, nothing compares to her truest passion, her love for her family. Not a day went by that she did not mention her children and grandchildren. She was the proudest Mama and Memere ever. Whether near or far, they are always in her heart.
Sheryl was truly uninhibited in life. She was a "tell it like it is girl". Her fire will truly be missed.
Sheryl was the daughter of the late Roland O. and Frances M. Gagne of New Bedford. Sheryl is survived by her beloved sons, Jonathan Fernandes of Plymouth and Michael Craig of New Bedford and his brother Brandon Craig, who she called her bonus child, of Boston; her lifelong friend and roommate, David Craig of New Bedford; three brothers, Brian Gagne and his wife Ann Gagne, Norman Gagne and his wife Cherlye Ann Gagne, and Ray-Paul Gagne, all of New Bedford; and her sister, Sharleen McMullen and her husband Steven McMullen of Maine. Sheryl is blessed with seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives.
