Shirley A. (Jones) Medeiros, 74, of New Bedford died Tuesday March 31, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth M. (Jacques) Jones, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Survivors include two sons, Peter Medeiros and his wife Ruth, and George Medeiros, all of New Bedford; two sisters, Dorothy Coombs and Carol Jones, both of New Bedford; two grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Nancy Pacheco and Eleanor Wohl.

Private Funeral arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
