Stanley J. Galligo, 97, of South Dartmouth passed away on April 2, 2025. He was the husband of the late Bernadina M. (Costa) Galligo.

He was employed at Continental Screw for many years, until his retirement.

Stanley was passionate about sailing and enjoyed football, chess, and sweets. He loved his family and music and played in several different bands throughout the years. Stanley believed that music was the secret to a long life. He was a man of dignity and grace, loving and caring, and could always offer sound advice.

He always lived his life to the fullest with both positivity and a sense of humor.

Stanley is survived by his brother, Richard Galligo; his sister, Madeline Henderson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bernadina, and several siblings.

His Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
