Stella (Jasinski) Poutre, 85, of New Bedford died Sunday February 22, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Stasiak) Jasinski, she lived in New Bedford for all of her life.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Mrs. Poutre was formerly employed as an inspector at the Acushnet Rubber Company, Golf Ball Division.

Survivors include a son, James Poutre of Lakeville; a daughter, Patricia Castro of Falmouth; three grandsons, Brian James Poutre of Jacksonville, FL, Mark Young of Boston, and Daryl Young of San Francisco; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was the grandmother of the late Scott Poutre and the sister of the late Edward and Felix Jasinski and Janice Lawrence.
