Steven C. Gravelle, 71, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was the husband of Lucinda (Thompson) Gravelle. They were dating since they were teenagers and happily married for 53 years.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Gravelle, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.

Steven loved the outdoors, especially camping and enjoying nature and animals. He liked taking long drives through the back roads, playing his harmonica, sitting by the ocean, and spending time with his family. He worked as a machine operator for Titleist for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lucinda; his son, Steven Gravelle and his wife Kelly Clapp; his daughter, Jenn Bala and her husband Adam; his siblings, Arthur Gravelle, Dennis Gravelle, Annette LaChance; Brenda DoCarmo, Vanessa Evans, Michelle Alexander, and Dr. Sandra Brown; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Justin, Jarrett, Juliana, Alexis, Autumn, Austin, Gabby, and Noah; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is predeceased by his parents; and his siblings, Gary, Geraldine, Camille, and Edouardo.

His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 4th at 12 PM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, His family will receive guests from 10 AM - 12 PM prior to his service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 16th from 1-5 PM in the Manomet Place Community room at 170 Riverside Ave, New Bedford.
