Stuart I. Gomes, 71, of New Bedford died December 13, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Alfred R. Gomes and Marie (Fermino) Gomes-Johnson.
The family would like to thank Otis Johnson, brothers, sisters and friends who helped in their time of need.
Survivors include his son, Jason Gomes; and several brothers and sisters.
He was the brother of the late Bradley Gomes, Karleen Johnson and Sandra Gomes.
His arrangements are private.
