Susan (Roswell) Finnerty, 69, of New Bedford died May 11, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Paul M. Finnerty.
Born and raised in Boston, daughter of the late Bernard A. and Dorothy (Conway) Roswell, she lived in New Bedford since 1991.
She was formerly employed as a CNA at Mediplex Rehabilitation Hospital for many years until her retirement.
Susan enjoyed spending time with her kids, iced coffee, long car rides, Yankee Candles, crocheting, summertime, Nora Roberts novels, Irish culture, music, animals, going out to eat at Gumbo restaurant in Dartmouth, celebrity gossip, shopping, nature, comfy clothes, joking around and laughing
Survivors include her 4 children, Michael J. Finnerty, Caitlin M. Lopes and her wife Hollie, Daniel P. Finnerty and Jessica E. Mattos and her husband Stephen; a sister, Patricia MacDonald; a grandchild, Keagen Lopes; and several nieces and nephews.
Her visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 22nd from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
