Susanna M. Soares, 30, of New Bedford died September 6, 2005 unexpectedly at home.
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, the daughter of Miguel F. and Maria (Brandao) Soares, both of Cape Verde, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Susanna was employed by Primerica Financial Services. She had also been a hair stylist.
Susanna was committed to improving the lives of others. She enjoyed dancing and the company of her family and friends.
Survivors include her parents, 2 sons, Mark Verdejo and Isaiah Santana, both of New Bedford; a daughter, John-Nae Sylvia of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Adriano Soares and Eden Soares, both of New Bedford; 4 sisters, Elizabete Soares, Lidia Soares and Helena Soares, all of New Bedford and Rosemary Soares of Atlanta; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Saturday, September 10th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday, September 9th from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
