Tamires "Tami" Regina Ribeiro, 35, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 8, 2026.
Born in Lavras, Brazil, daughter of Circinio "Junior" Melo Ribeiro and Glecia (Simões Medeiros) Medeiros Ribeiro, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Tamires loved going to the beach, walking in parks and looking at Orchid flowers and Cherry Blossoms. She enjoyed traveling, singing and being outside. Tamires will be remembered as funny, sweet, and beautiful woman who could make anyone smile. Her favorite treat was chocolate covered strawberries.
She loved huskies, coffee and mommy's "Mamy" food. Everywhere she worked she made a lasting impact on those who loved and admired her. She cherished and deeply loved her family and children. Tami was thankful for any and everything done for her. She loved cracking jokes with her dad "Papi".
She was a member of the Freedom Crew at New Life SouthCoast and has been a member there for many years.
Survivors include her parents, Circinio and Glecia; her fiancé, Nathan Schaffer; her children, Raquell Grace Ribeiro Villanueva, Alexandria Rose Ribeiro Schaffer, and Nathan Eric Schaffer, Jr.; her sister Talita Ribeiro Lima and her husband Kevin Espinola Lima; her uncle Celso Melo Ribeiro; her nephews Graceson Ribeiro Lima and Kaison Ribeiro Lima; and many friends and extended family members.
Her visiting hours will be held Monday, June 15, 2026 from 5-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
