Theodore S. Przystas, 85, of Acushnet died Thursday November 6, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Neagus) Przystas

Born in Fairhaven, the son of the late Adam and Aniela (Sowa) Przystas, he lived in Acushnet most of his life.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Mr. Przystas was formerly employed by Otis Air Force Base for many years until his retirement. He later worked at Ma's Donuts in New Bedford.

He enjoyed grocery shopping and was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include his wife; 4 sons, Theodore Przystas of California, Rodney Reed, and his wife Mary, Alvin Reed, and his wife Michele, all of New Bedford, Paul H. Reed of Acushnet; a daughter, Beverly LeBlanc, and her husband Kenneth, of Acushnet; a brother, Mitchell Przystas of Florida; a sister, Victoria Bourgeois of Fairhaven; 8 grandchildren, Wendy L. Gatto of Acushnet, Jason LeBlanc of Fairhaven, Wayne Reed, Brandon Reed, Jacob Reed, Jared Reed, Samantha Reed and Tabitha Reed, all of New Bedford; several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Pauline Larsen, Mary Grys, Sophie Arabasz, and Stanley Przystas.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordMonday, November 10th at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday, November 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

Interment Acushnet Cemetery.
