Thomas Meredith, Jr., 75, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a hard fought bout with ALS on Monday, August 24, 2026. He was the loving husband of Marjorie (Kalife) Meredith for 45 years.
Born in Acushnet, son of the late Thomas and Victoria (Cipriani) Meredith, he lived in Fairhaven most of his life.
Tom was a caring, outgoing, and funny man who was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with friends and a good laugh supplied by his quick wit. He centered his life around his family and loved spending time with his kids. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his family, he loved them all beyond words and always put them first. Truly the anchor of the family, he was a devoted father and husband who will always be profoundly loved and missed.
Tom worked for Fairhaven Lumber and National Lumber for many years where he made a lasting impression on all those he came to know, through his unforgettable personality and impressive professional knowledge.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; his kids, Julie Meredith and her significant other James Murray, Angela Meredith, and Tommy Meredith; his siblings Terrence Meredith and Kathleen Volterra and her significant other Karl Lindstrom; and many extended family members.
He is predeceased by his brother Daniel Meredith and his sister-in-law Linda Meredith.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
