Thomas A. Powers

Thomas A. Powers, 56, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Born in New Bedford, son of Maria (Medeiros) Dupont and the late William F. Powers, Jr., he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Tom enjoyed being with his family and fixing cars.

Survivors include his mother, Maria; his children, Thomas Powers, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, and Justine Powers; his sister, Tammy Powers; and his granddaughter Braylee Powers.

His wake will be held Thursday, February 19th from 10-11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by his prayer service in the funeral home at 11AM. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
