Thurban Amado, 75, of Fairhaven died May 5, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Daniel and Thurban (Pena) Amado, she lived in Greater New Bedford all of her life.
She enjoyed music.
Survivors include her sister, Rev. Delphina Harrison of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Daniel Amado, Jr. and Ceasar Amado, both of New Bedford; her cousin and guardian, Paula Barros and her husband Charles of Wareham; her aunt, Caroline Ferreira and her husband Joseph of San Antonio, TX; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 18th at 3 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Her family will receive guests from 2-3 PM prior to her service.
