In Loving Memory of Thurman London

Thurman London was born on March 31, 1963, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2026, leaving behind family and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Thurman was a graduate of New Bedford High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to his career with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He later became an independent contract safety officer, working on various bridges and dams across the country, including the Newport Pell Bridge in Rhode Island. Through his work, Thurman contributed to important infrastructure projects and built a career defined by dedication and commitment to safety. Thurman was an avid New England sports fan and a foodie.

Thurman leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Wanita Pina-London; his grandmother, Hattie Belle Hansley; and his beloved wife, Cheryl London. He is also survived by his children: Felecia London and her husband, Anthony, of Texas; Curtis Mcgaughy and Shayla London of Tennessee; and Shannon London and Sydney London of Colorado. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren: Devin, Alanna, Journi, Jianna, Ava, and Avery, who will forever hold a special place in his heart.

He is further survived by his siblings: Dujuana London, Lydell London, Barbara London-Fernandes, Mia Pina, Pedia London, Norris London, and Deveron London, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Thurman was preceded in death by his father, Thurman London (Bo); his younger brother, Charles London; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who have gone before him. May they welcome him with open arms as he joins them in the afterlife.

Funeral services will be held in Denver, Colorado, and a private memorial service will be held in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to honor Thurman’s life and legacy.

Though his passing was unexpected, the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered with love and missed beyond words.
