Timothy J. Connor, 70, of New Bedford died Sunday, March 2, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Cynthia A. (Gaspar) Connor.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late James and Eugenia (Fortier) Connor, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Tim was a graduate of New Bedford High School.

He was employed as a Correctional Officer at MCI-Bridgewater for many years until his retirement.

Tim enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren and his granddogs, Jax and Tanzy. In his prime, Tim was an avid and talented softball player who loved to boast about his championships to his family. He loved the game and shared that joy with his beautiful daughters. Growing up, coaching his girls and all of their friends gave him so much pride. He will surely be missed by all of them.

He is survived by two daughters, Jillian Connor and Brianne Enos and her husband Mike; two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Connor; three siblings, Kim Rocha (and niece Kaylin Rocha), Dana Connor (and nephew Cameron Connor), and Neil Connor; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Mark, Robert, and Christopher Connor.
