Tommy Acevedo, 51, of New Bedford died September 2, 2011 unexpectedly at home.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Wilberto and Anita (Jorge) Acevedo.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors include his fiancée, Deborah Lacerte; his son Tommy Acevedo, Jr.; four brothers, Wilbert, Ricky, David, and Danny; and nieces and nephews.
