Ubaldo Espinal Rodriguez, 78, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2025.

Born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, son of the late Felix Espinal and Eudocia Rodriguez, he first immigrated to New York in the 1980s before settling in Massachusetts in the 1990s.

Ubaldo was a very religious man and served as a deacon at the New Bedford Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ubaldo enjoyed riding bikes, fixing things around the house, and helping others in any way he could. He loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Isaac Espinal and his wife Zoraida of Arizona, Luis Cedeno of New Bedford, Melissa Espinal of North Carolina, and Raul Espinal and his wife Jennifer of Somerset; his sisters Dinora and Rosa Espinal; and his grandchildren, Raul and Eva Espinal, Zorimel, Melvin, and Juliandimel Vargas.

His visitation will be held at the New Bedford Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church, 280 Elm St., New Bedford on Tuesday, January 28th from 4-8 PM.
