With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Ursula A Belanger, age 83, of New Bedford, who passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion surrounded by family.

Born in Metz, France to Pierre Edeilaide and Mary Edeilaide. Ursula moved to New Bedford, MA sixty-three years ago in search of opportunity and a better life where she began her family and gave birth to her beloved son Eric P Belanger. She worked in the factory business until retirement. Her strength and sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to family defined her life and will never be forgotten.

In her spare time Ursula loved to play bingo and Yahtzee, she was a big fan of western and kung fu movies. She spent most of her spare time with her family who she cared for and dedicated her life too. She spent many years watching her grandchildren with endless patience, strength, and endless love. Her greatest joy came from watching them grow. Her legacy lives in the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the love she passed down. Ursula truly was the heart of the family.

Ursula is survived by her son: Eric Belanger; his children: Nicole Belanger, Brittany Belanger and Jake Belanger and four great grandchildren, as well as Hilary, a caregiver who turned into family over the last four years.

She will be remembered most for her love and devotion to her son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Family was the center of her life, and she found her greatest joy in caring for them, supporting them and celebrating their milestones. Her guidance offered strength, and her love-shaped generations.
