Victoria Algarin

Victoria (Carrillo) Algarin, 90, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025. Born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Serafin Carrillo and Paula Garcia she lived in New Bedford most of her life.

Victoria was a member of Pentacostal Churches in New Bedford. She enjoyed taking care of the house, spending time with her family, and will be remembered as a very outgoing and loving person. She appreciated the support her Personal Care Assistants gave her over the years.

Survivors include her 6 daughters, Maria Algarin, Dominga Algarin and Nora Algarin, all of New Bedford, Sara Algarin and Flor Algarin, both of Florida and Gladys Algarin of Connecticut; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Juan "Junior" Algarin, Luis Angel Algarin, Daniel Algarin and Robert Algarin.

Her visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 22nd from 5-8 PM in the from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd at 10 AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
