Vita (Roman) Gonzalez, 79, of Fairhaven, formerly of New Bedford, died Monday November 26, 2007 at Our Lady's Haven after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Pedro Gonzalez.

Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

Survivors include seven children, Linda Harris, Estelle Todman, Carmen, Betsy, Maria, Tony, and Peter Gonzalez, all of New Bedford; her siblings, Anna, Alfred, Miguel, and Antonio Roman, all of New Bedford; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
