Walter R. Parker, Jr., 64, of Acushnet died August 9, 2004 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of Nancy J. (Brown) Parker.
Born in Fairhaven, son of Doris E. (St. Aubin) Chamberlain of Fairhaven and the late Walter R. Parker, he had lived in Acushnet for most of his life.
Mr. Parker was the founder and proprietor of Acushnet Cesspool Service.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; his stepfather, John Chamberlain of Fairhaven; his stepmother, Irene Parker of Acushnet; a daughter, Doreen Robinson of New Bedford; a brother, Robert Parker of Fairhaven; 5 sisters, Patsy DeCosta of Fairhaven, Cathy Makuch and Elizabeth Roberts, both of Acushnet, Judy Koch of Georgia and Donna Thompson of Freetown; 3 grandchildren, Reneé, Rita and Alfred; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Jay Chamberlain.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Tuesday, August 10th from 5-8 PM.
His Funeral Service and burial on Wednesday, August 11th will be private.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 0170.
