William F. O'Rourke, 48, of Pearland, Texas died Monday June 13, 2005 at his family home in New Bedford after a brief illness.

Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of the late John B. and Margaret G. (Lyons) O'Rourke, he lived in Texas for many years.

He was a graduate of Bishop Connolly High School, Boston College, and St. Mary's Law School in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. O'Rourke was an attorney who practiced law in Houston, Texas for many years.

Survivors include his former wife, Carole Snyder of Pearland; a son, Liam O'Rourke of Pearland; a daughter, Katylyn O'Rourke of Pearland; a brother, James T. O'Rourke of New Bedford; and a sister, Louise O'Rourke of New Bedford.

He was the brother of the late John E. O'Rourke.

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday evening June 16, 2005 at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 PM, prior to the service.
