William V. Reed, 64, of New Bedford, died March 16, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late William H. and Margaret L. (White) Reed, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Bill received services by Better Community Living and attended LifeStream's Day Program, being with both agencies for many years.

Bill was a very social person who was loved by many people and who enjoyed being out in the community. He also loved playing jokes and pulling pranks on his friends.

Survivors include several cousins; and Jacqueline Andrade and her family with whom he lived.

His Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 20th at 1 PM at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-6 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
