It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Willis "Willie" Pierce on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Willie was born April 28, 1963 in Birmingham, AL, to the late Carolyn (Terry) Miller and the late Henry Pierce. He was the step-son of the late Wilbert Miller.

He was a graduate of New Bedford High School.

Willie was a kind, gentle soul. He had many struggles, but always had a smile.

Willie leaves behind two sisters, Sarah Avery of Birmingham, AL, and Suzanne Pierce (his sidekick) of New Bedford; his niece, Nicole Dobynes of Birmingham; two nephews, Devane Pierce of New Bedford and Hakeem Pierce and his wife Laura of Oklahoma City; two great-nephews, Dominic and Luca Pierce; his aunt, Ernestine Platt of New Bedford; his uncles Joseph McCoy and Delafayette Moore of Birmingham; and many cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents and step-father, Willie was predeceased by his nieces, Toni Sousa and Angela Dawkins.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2-4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 3:30 PM, during the visitation period. For directions and guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
