Windy M. (Fonseca) Monteiro, 52, of New Bedford died October 21, 2024 unexpectedly at Massachusetts General Hospital.
She was the wife of Paul R. Monteiro.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Sheena K. (Garcia) Fonseca of Dartmouth and the late Robert J. Fonseca, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Paul; her mother Sheena; a son, Jordan Vargas and his girlfriend Cecilia Ruiz of New Bedford; 3 daughters, Kiera Vargas, Natasha Monteiro and Shaneia Monteiro, all of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Robert Fonscea of New Hampshire and Garit Fonseca of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Peggy Reis, Rona Nelson and Roberta Fonseca, all of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren, Jace Vargas, Nyell Vargas, Alivia Delgado, Steven Colon, Nacayla Dias-Monteiro, Nevaeh Fennel, Narayah Fennel and Demani Fennel; 3 nieces, Brittney Fonseca, Kaya DeBarros and Shandell Reis; 3 nephews, Corey Matthews, Myles Matthews and Daryl Reis; 2 great-nieces, Kayda and Koi and a great-nephew, Kayson.
She was the sister of the late Kristafar Fonseca.
Her funeral arrangements will be private.
