Zayra Melina Perez Lopez, 40, of New Bedford died June 22, 2025 at home surrounded by her family and church family at Iglesia Palabra Miel.

She was the wife of Jose M. Lopez Santiago.

Born in Rabinal, Baja Verapaz, Guatamala, daughter of Arturo G. Reyes Vielman and Maria L. (Lopez Chen) Reyes of New Bedford, she has lived in New Bedford for the last 10 years.

She was an active member of her church, Iglesia Palabra Miel in New Bedford.

Survivors include her husband Jose; her parents, Arturo and Maria; 3 sons, Alan Lopez Perez, Dany Lopez Perez and Natanael Lopez Perez, all of New Bedford; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 26th from 5-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 27th at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
