Zoraida Nieves, 57, of New Bedford died February 5, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Felipe and Hipolita (Lopez) Nieves, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She enjoyed the beach.
Survivors include 3 sons, Alfredo Burgos of New Bedford, Angel Burgos and his wife Mercedes of Germany and Oscar Burgos and his wife Natercia of Fall River; 2 daughters, Wanda Burgos-Vargas and her husband Jose L. Vargas, Sr. and Evelyn Burgos, all of New Bedford; her companion, Jorge Morales of New Bedford; and 14 grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 10th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, February 9th from 4-8 PM.
