Zulmira C. "BeBe" Soares, 84, of New Bedford died Tuesday June 28, 2005 at home after a long illness.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Pedro and Clara (Avelina) Soares, she had lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Survivors include a brother, Avelino "Boboi" Soares of New Bedford; two sisters, Beatrice Soares and Louise Fortes, both of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Adeline Andrade and Aurora Soares.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Friday July 1, 2005 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday June 30, 2005 from 2-5 PM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
